Description
It's time to bend some metal! The UMBC BattleBots tournament is around the corner; competition is on April 14, 2018.
If you're interested in competing in UMBC BattleBots, please sign up by March 11th using the link below:
You will be given an opportunity to team up in groups of 2 to 5 students, to create a fighting robot.
The goal of the competition is to design a robot that will push the competitor out of the ring or disable them so they cannot continue in the match.
Teams will be given a month to develop their vehicle before competition day.
Each team will be provided the following materials:
- [3] High Torque 12V Motors
- [4] AutoEC Robot Wheels
- [2-3] Balsa Wood Sheets (3/32”x4”x36”)
- Assorted Wood Strips
- Wood Glue
- Aluminum (25 gauge)
- Various motor and wood screws
- Various compression/extension springs
