We look forward to see you.

If you have any questions, please contact Elizabeth Tan (etan1@umbc.edu)

Please read more about it below:
I am a class of 2016 UMBC alum and now I work for a nonprofit called the Maryland Clean Energy Jobs Initiative. Our sole purpose is to pass a bill in the 2018 legislative session which will do the following:

- Increase the Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) to 50% by the year 2030 meaning 50% of our electricity in the state will have to come from renewables by that year
- Invest in clean energy workforce development (such as job training programs for residents)
- Invest in clean energy businesses owned by women and people of color
- Phase out incentives for trash incineration in the RPS

I'm reaching out to you both as officers of the UMBC American Institute of Chemical Engineers because I am hoping that you can sign our Resolution (attached to this email) in support of the campaign. You can also sign online at www.cleanenergyjobs.org. Signing the resolution puts the organization's name on our official endorsers list, and that's about it--no other requirements unless you would like to volunteer to help us get more signatures at UMBC!
