Description
UMBC will be attending NMUN NY in the heart of New York City, surrounded by thousands of the brightest and most passionate college and university students from well over 100 countries. Together, they've gathered to discuss the most pressing global issues, from climate change to human rights to global security. At the conference, students will:
- Engage in simulated UN committees and draft resolutions on global problems
- Network with peers from around the world, learn about different cultures and perspectives, and become the next generation of international leaders
- Debate pressing issues and hone your negotiation and public speaking skills
- Visit Permanent Missions to the UN and interact with policy experts
- Experience UN Headquarters for select sessions (subject to availability)
